There is one person in everyone's life that is their backbone. There is that one person who gives you courage, wisdom, guidance, and unconditional love even when we do wrong. For most of us, we have someone is our lives that inspires us and makes us want to be better people. We all have a role model or leader in our lives, someone that we can look up to and be proud to say why we do. For me, that person is my father. My father is not only my role model, but he is also my hero. My father inspires me to succeed, to prosper, to love, and live. He is the reason I am the person I am today.
A role model should be someone that inspires us. A role model is someone who continues to push us to greatness. Greatness in ourselves, and greatness in this tough world. Role models already have a huge responsibility on them so it is an accomplishment for them to know that we have done something that pleases them. At last, their hard work has paid off. Role models easily take the role as heros in our lives.
Let me share what a feeling it is to be able to say that my father is my hero. My father not only encourages me to succeed, but he shares with me stories from experience. He gives me the advice I need exaclty when I need it in order to prosper. He is the person that makes everything alright for me. When I have had a bad day, and the world is crumbling around me...all it takes is his voice to get the reassurance I need. When I have accomplished something in my life I can first share it with Dad because he is the one inspired me to do it. Because of him, I will always want better for myself.
My father is outstanding. He is intelligent, wholesome, and honest. When I need something put in perspective I call him. I don't look to superficial things or place value in money or cars. I idolize my father rather than something unattainable or misconstrued by the media. I know I need something solid in my life to guide me in the right direction. He is proud of me for not only what I have done, but how I share the positivness and joy that he has taught me with all those around me. That is an example of how my father makes me want to be a better person. Role models are heros, and heros are role models.
Who will you let guide you to greatness?
