The Chicago Bears have a great number of critics and fans thinking that it is over for this season. Not so fast skeptics; here's a few things to chew on. The injury bug has bitten them hard on the defensive side of the ball and Mike Brown's reserve Adam Archuleta is still learning. Tommie Harris plays almost too hard if there is such a thing and Lance Briggs is playing catchup in the linebacker department. The offense is sputtering, but let's give Griese more than one game to prove his worth. Don't forget about Kyle Orton, he has more knowledge of the offense than he did in 2005. I would like to see Chris Leak signed from the practice squad, I think that he has other tangibles than the other guys. he can use his legs, he has confidence and knows how to play in the big game. Cedric Benson gets better as the game goes on, but he has to hold onto the rock and he needs more carries. The offensive line is out of sync with this quarterback carousel and injuries. I really like the new scheme of the use of Brian Urlacher. He needs to spy that quarterback and there really isn't anyone he can't run down. Michael Vick and him had epic battles and there were times that it looked like a Discovery Channel wildlife show by the way Urlacher was leaping across the line of scrimmage, pummeling Vick. The Sunday night game in Lambeau Field will be a must win game of sorts for the Windy City. If 2 or maybe 3 guys could get off the disabled list on the defensive side of the ball, this will be a very different Chicago Bears.
