When one thinks of New York City, what does one think of? For myself, I think of food and museums. I am writing this article to describe my highlights of such a trip to New York City. The trip lasted 3 days, two nights. After taking a train from Connecticut into New York City, I arrived in Grand Central Station. Don't forget to look at the ceiling in Grand Central Station and look at the Frescoes - they are amazing to look at! Since I arrived in New York City in the late afternoon on Friday I only went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In this museum one can spend hours, even days depending upon which types of art/sculptures one is interested in.
On Saturday, I first went to the International Center of Photography. The center was well worth the price of admission - $15 or less for a Student discount rate. The pictures were set in a clean manner with no distractions, letting one experience their own interpretation of the work(s). Another highlight on my trip was to experience another part of American history - Coney Island. My last highlight was to eat at Mario Batali's Babbo restuarant in New York City Saturday evening. This was the best pizza I have ever tasted! This pizza coupled with gelato, Italian ice cream, which was infused with olive oil and wild strawberries, left an indelible mark on my culinary adventure list. Overall, my experience in New York City was unforgettable lending me to experience some culinary delights that only New York City can have all in one spot. I am looking forward to my next weekend trip.
