They have lived through the struggle to unionization, and no sugar or alcohol. They know the effects of war - both at home and, to the soldiers who fight them. They know what it takes to make a marriage work.
The elderly have laid out their lives to develop and refine the communities where we now live. They have toiled, sweat and bled - to leave us what we have - someplace to grow from and something to grow towards. What more can we ask of them?
