The only way to make it in life today is to have money. It has turned into cut throat world whether your in the business field or something else. When it comes to money many literally will do what ever they can no matter what the consequences may be.

In society today many people have totally disregarded all values and beliefs they were raised with to gain more. Some of the consequences may seem small for example taking advantage of co-workers or taking credit for work that is not theirs just to jump up the ladder. That little voice in the back of their head called a conscience has been completely ignored and they do not care if they are emotionally hurting another. Or some simply decide to destroy other peoples lives in other ways and have no care even if faced with the possibility of jail. The simple and sad reality that we are faced with is that many do not care and will destroy who ever they have to and cut what ever corners they can to gain more money.

In my income there is only about 25,000 a year. I have been jealous of friend's and family that have been able to make a better income and drive a top of the line car.
Even though I own my own house and a fairly new car, I can not afford to pay for food after all my bills are payed.

Through out history rulers have continuously waged war with the underlying motive too gain more money even though they were rich to begin with. One example can go all the way back to Holy Crusades when the Turks invaded Jerusalem they realized how useful their money could be and took power, but that was not enough and decided to start threatening other empires. Then there was the Spanish inquisition that is said to have started because of religious beliefs but really it was about sheer profit. There are several more examples that could be listed but it boils down to history repeating is self for thousands of years, wars being started for various reasons with the real goal of gaining more money.

Today, we are faced with the war in Iraq. It has to make you think what the underlying motive is, and what are our leaders gaining from it. There are people who have millions of dollars invested in oil company's and stocks and bonds. For Saddam when he invaded Kuwait in the 1990's it was to gain money from their oil. So again it may seem repetitive but many literally will do what ever they can no matter what the consequences may be for prosperity.

The overall summary is that when people have a lot of money, their values and belief's are thrown away. They take away from people that already don't have anything with out a second thought, including those in the public eye but instead of realizing how cut throat they instead are exalted and praised. That is what the world has always been like and for thousands of years and I don't foresee it changing anytime soon. If anything it will only continue to progress like a cancer.
