There are a few important steps that every child should learn in riding the school bus.
.Get into/climb the bus only aftet it has "come to a complete halt"( as they say in the airlines).
.Teach him the habit of standing on line, before trying to be the first one to get on the bus. Many kids want to be "The First Among Equals".
.Inside the bus,let him follow the correct line and find his seat calmly.Assure him that he will always get his seat once it has been fixed.
.Show him that he is liable to be punished for breaking rules.Do not render any punishment as yet,but show him( with a video and/or a public film show the result of kids not follwing rules).
.Similarly while getting down from the bus, show that he should do it only after the bus has come to a complete halt and following the line.
.Show him/teach him with a picture,a photograph etc the bad effect of throwings things outside.
.Let him learn never to put his hands or head outside the window.
.Make him friendly with the bus driver and his classfellows who are riding the bus.
.Enforce good discipline ( make him write a hundred times the same word),stay at the same place for than five conituous minutes for any breach of discipline.
.Once he learns tthe basics of discipline,he will be a good boy.
.Reward him for good actions and encourage and flatter him when he is doing good and obeys all the rules.
.Reprimand him when he errs.
