Celebrities and charity fund-raising: How to get the stars to your event

Gosh, imagine having a big name heartthrob like Mel Gibson in my back garden calling out the bingo numbers. I reckon he'd love to do it if he knew it was for a decent charity. If you write him saying all the monay raised will go to a brilliant cause, he isn;t going to say no, unless he isn't around then.

These big people know they have to put soemtihgback which is why they do many things for charity, so if you don't ask you dont get. Thats the problem, so many of us ptu these guys on pedestools and then think we cant talk to them, but they are ordniary people just like us and they want ot help good causes like ther est of us, so ask and they're bound to be obliging.

I've never run a charity fundraising thing in my house , but this has certainly give me the idea and I'm going to try now - still not sure for what, but I'll think of something and raise so much oney that everyone will be so proud of me.

I guess I'd find Mel Gibson's address or contact details somehow on the internet. If he wants to charge for coming, I couldn't afford to pay, so I'd have to look for someone else who does it for free. There has got to be lots of good people out there who would do that, surely? I do so hope so
