Books should most definitely have a rating system. Reading gives us a "movie" inside our head of what is happening in the story. Before you begin to watch a movie you will see the rating. A ,N/R, R, PG-13, PG, and G are the ratings that a movie will receive based on its content. Contents are based on adult content such as language, sexual content, violence, and nudity.

Todays generation we have access to more of this content than ever before, and it needs to be limited. Too much information is going inside the minds of younger people about lessons in life that are not learned. Children are watching fighting, shooting, murder, rape, sexual abuse, drug usage, and much more in many movies. We try our best to keep this as limited as possible. We have parental locks to lock out anything over a certain rating, or a certain channel. We can do our best to limit as little access as possible to make it appropriate for their age without even being with them.

Books will give the same ideas and visual effects in the mind just as well as a movie will. A rating system would be very beneficial to our children. The less they watch the movies, and the less they read books of adult content, it will greatly reduce their thoughts on the subjects and situations.
