But need we be wary of China that she harbors ominous ambitions, to be a superpower and subdue the world through control, treats and manipulations after the archetype of the Europeans during the Industrial Revolution Era or the USSR and USA during the Cold War Period or the US during the post Cold War Period till present?
China and the Chinese on the whole through history are never aggressors. The nearest that China ever was known to show imperialistic interest was during the Ming Dynasty, but these are mild compared to European blatant, brutal and sometimes barbaric subjugation of lands and people in the colonies.
The only trouble than people seeking the protection of the Chinese Empower were the paying of tributes and that also was abruptly stopped by the Chinese after 1433 and never to continue again, even up to this day.
The rise of China as an economic force is a good thing because a prosperous China is a great potential market for goods and services.
Imagine the aggregate collective purchasing power of 1.3 to 1.5billion people, that is 1,300,000,000 to 1,500,000,000 people versus 2,500,000 to 2,700,000 people of the USA.
It is not to the interest of USA to always want to take the global lead and influence world events, taking the role of the Big Brother or Global Policeman because there is no interest but national interest.
In its short history of less than 250years, USA had come a long way in a short time to be the undisputed world leader in myriad fields, economy, science, technology, military etc and she can stand proud to be that testimony and beacon of light testifying the empirical success of a government based on personal freedom, the rule of law and democracy while all other forms of government ranging from theocracy to dictatorship had failed to yield the desired results common and universally aspired by the common people.
Currently, China is ruled by an unelected group of people who claim legitimacy to on party consensus which implied the people's mandate.
We must appreciate that for thousands of years, will the Chinese are renowned for her civilization, culture and relatively peacefully united as one nation beginning from the First Sovereign Emperor of China, Shih Huang Ti or Shingse Huangti, there was never the mandate from the people, Min Tzu (People's Right, after Sun Yat Sen's the People's
