I'm white, you're black, but we're all pink on the inside, what do you want to bet? What is color suppose to mean anyway. God made all of us, and that makes us sisters in Christ. When I was living in Colorado Springs, I worked at this nursing home, and we had a little black girl that worked in the kitchen. She always held back from the rest of us, even though she wasn't the only black girl there. She would sit by herself at a table near us, but would never talk to us. One day, we were talking about cookies, and I made the comment that Oreo's were my favorite cookie. This little voice pops up and says, "Yea, me to. That's the only thing us blacks are on the outside of, and you white's are on the inside of." For a minute, you could have heard a pin drop, and then everyone started laughing. After that little "Oreo" joined us on break. I always called her Oreo after that, she was my little cookie. I moved to Texas a few years back, for about six months, and I worked in two nursing homes. The one home had more whites, the other had more blacks, and white people can be real snobs. I hated that place. The other home was mixed race through, and through, but I loved it. I never had so much fun in my life. My best friend was black, and I wouldn't have traded her for ten of anything else. So if you're a black female, just be yourself, If you're white, get a life that makes you a little less judgmental, and realize that God is color blind.
