Metrosexuals are just men who have the hygienic habits and fashion senses of women. Personally, I appreciate the smell of my man, not his cologne or deodorant. I like his rough whiskers sometimes. But he is not a slob. He is manly but still takes good care of himself. I don't think metrosexuality is a bad thing; but both men and women overdo it sometimes. A lot of people mistake metrosexuality with homosexuality because cleanliness and a priority toward appearance are stereotypes of homosexuality. But metrosexuals are mainly straight, they just possess similar characteristics.

When I think of metrosexuality, honestly, I think of the episode of South Park where metrosexuality becomes cool amongst the characters, and even one of the characters' dad. The creators of South Park (Trey Parker and Matt Stone) make a really good point about metrosexuality by having the wives of suddenly-trendy metrosexual men be upset about it. And they get upset about missing their men's smell, their men's roughness, and manliness. Exactly my sentiments on the subject.

Again, there is nothing wrong with metrosexuality (or homosexuality), though both men and women do tend to go overboard from time to time.
