Poetry: Appreciate your life

Appreciate Your Life

Appreciate your life,
It goes very quickly.
Here you are today, young
And before you know it, not so young.

Remember being young as a toddler?
Well, it might be hard, but just think harder.
You loved to get in the mud puddles,
just to get your feet wet, oh,yes,
it ruined your shoes, what did it matter?

Appreciate that childhood, it will
go quickly. Remember that summer, when you were so sickly?

Remember recovering, and running and playing? The baseball,
the football and rollerblade skating?

On to high school, and all of those memories.
Remember Senior Prom, did you appreciate that Class Ring?
Learning to drive, and all those scares behind that wheel.
Did you appreciate Mom and Dad, paying all those bills?

Then you grew older, more responsible you became.
You had your own children, you left out the fame.

Hold on to those younger years, before you know it,
The years have gone by so remember to appreciate all of it.

Did you appreciate, Senior Prom.
