Wow! Almost that holly, jolly time of year again! Each year the gift list of friends and family grows longer! We are constantly searching for fast, easy, money and time saving ideas for gifts!
To this list, let's add all the teachers in ours and our children's lives. Here is a gift that any teacher will adore,no matter what the grade! And the best thing is that this project can be modified depending on what subject they teach!
We are talking about a RULER PICTURE FRAME! This craft is so easy mom, it almost does itself! It is a wonderful project for children aged 6-10. If you have more than one child, you probably have more than one teacher too. Not to worry! It goes together fast so you can make multiples in no time!
Her are the few things you will need to make this:
1. 6x6 corrugated cardboard (or whatever size you want you finished frame to be).
2. 4 6inch lengths of wooden rulers (or again, whatever size you need for your frame).
3. i new pencil (unsharpened) ( maybe stamped with the child's name?)
4. Assorted wooden school themed accessories for accent
5. cord or ribbon (for hanging).
6. craft glue (tacky is best).
7. favorite school picture
Directions:
1. place picture on top of curragated cardboard and glue down edges only!
this will keep the picture from wrimkling in the middle.
glue the four ruler lengths around the outside edges of the cardboard and
picture.
2. glue wooden accessories randomly to top of ruler.
3. glue pencil along top of "frame".
4. after glue has dried, tie ribbon (or cord) to ourter edges of pencil
to hang it up!
