The valiant purple sky turned a fiery red, the skyscraper sized trees reached and swayed in the wind, and the raging storm approached the town. Storms were extremely common on the far away world but this storm had nothing normal about it. The wind could be heard across the land, long before it was felt; the rain would hammer the ground into a weak thing not capable of sustaining the life that swarmed over the new found land. But most terrifying of its effects were the change one could whiteness in the sky, the once tranquil purple sky morphing into a angry red cloud descending above the ground. With all the new technology this distant purple planet held, they were unable to stop the destructive force that was now upon them.
"We must leave or this shall be our end," the pale man spoke to his wife as she paced the filthy wooden floor. He was the one who had foreseen this terrible event and had been unable to convince anyone else of its severities.
"Its too late for that now, we had our chance but I was too thick headed to take it," He stated angrily banging his large fist on the table.
"We are in this together," she said running her small fingers along his clamped fist and loosening the clinched knuckles. He looked up adoringly at his wife. It would be all his fault if something horrible happened to his family. No matter what she said, it was his doing that kept them here.
" go into the storm room and I will be up shortly, if nothing else it will keep the water off and protect us from the rain," she walked swiftly up the stairs, acting as if the wind would sweep her off her feet. She gripped the banister while walking slowly up the staircase. Her footsteps were carefully placed as if one wrong move would send her tumbling into oblivion. The scientist gathered his things in a secure metal box and left for the protected room. Because storms were all too common, the mass of the people had pulled together to create a room that would help save them from the storm. The walls were made of steel and if the entire house was shattered the room would still be in perfect condition. This invention had saved countless lives and would be used to protect his family now. He trudged up the stairs and joined his wife and child. The petite woman was cradling his youthful daughter in her arms. With the storm approaching they decided that silence would be the best route for now. Gradually he locked the windows and door, secured the unbreakable fortress and then,
