You can spend very little money and still see the most of Singapore. Those attractions which require you to pay, are not worth seeing anyway.
*ACCOMODATION*
Hotels in Singapore are expensive. The cheapest you can find will be hostels. But to really save money, you can make Changi Airport your home. Changi Airport is consistently voted the best airport in the world. Look for the Oasis Lounge in Changi Airport, where you can sleep for free. You can get a shower for $8 at the Rainforest lounge. Changi Airport is connected to the city by the fast and efficient MRT which is our subway.
*TRANSPORTATION*
Stick to the MRT, the longest trip costs SGD 2.80. You can also buy a stored value card of minimum value SGD 10.
*FOOD*
Look for the NTUC Fairprice supermarket at the airport, and buy bottled drinking water there. You will save a lot of money on drinks.
You can eat for less than SGD$5.00 per person, per meal at any food court or hawker centers in Singapore. Every major shopping mall will have an air conditioned food court.
