As a person who has dieted all my life, trying many types of plans, food and pills, I can honestly say there is no easy way to lose weight. I have been heavy since I was seven years old, or that's when I began to put weight on and get teased for it. The problem only worsened as I got older.
I was put on my fist diet in the fifth grade. My doctor recommended Slim Fast. For support, my Mom joined in with me, but I found myself wanting something other than a sugary shake for dinner. Then, in seventh grade, I joined Weight Watchers. Again, my mother joined with me. She had acquired some extra pounds also. I couldn't stay away from the junk that was out there. My mother did all the work for me, packing me healthy lunches, and cooking healthy dinners in the portions I was suppose to get.

Somehow, as the years went on, and I gained more and more, I just could not get the weight off. I wasn't trying all that hard, but I was young and didn't realize how hard it was to slim down. I reached my all time high of 215 pounds by my freshman year of high school. I don't remember really trying to do much to drop the weight at that time.
Over the summer after my freshman year of high school, I managed to get around 15 pounds off. I don't even know how. It could have been marching band, or maybe I just ate less. Then, I continued to lose over the summer after my sophomore year of high school, mostly due to marching band and working. Then too, I had learned the dangerous game of crash dieting. I was able to get back down to around 179 and keep myself that way all the way through my junior year of high school by not eating.

My children are what put most of my weight on. I gained over 60 pounds with my first one, losing all but 20 pounds of it, only to regain 15 before getting pregnant again. I then gained around 18 pounds with that child, lost it all and then some, but gained back another 20 before getting pregnant with my third child.
By the time I got pregnant with my fourth child, I had managed to climb my way to 250 pounds. I only gained 21 pounds with the last child, and I lost all that weight plus another 30 on top of that. Depression had me unable to eat what I was normally eating and so the weight just fell off. As soon as my appetite returned, I began to put the weight on at lightening speed.

So now, at 30 years old, I'm once again attempting to lose the weight. I'm on Weight Watchers, have been for almost five months and I'm down
