Everything you wanted to know about hand sanitizers

Hand sanitizers may be less effective and more hazardous than you think. Over 70 percent of all hand sanitizers use salicylic acid as their active ingredient. This tends to dry off the skin and contaminate it with highly toxic substances. These substances however kill bacteria but still causing harm as well to our hands. Another portion of hand sanitizing products adopt alcohol samples into their products to give it greater sanitizing power and infuse a pleasant scent into them. The disadvantage s however with these is that they dry the skin around the hands and also, are flammable. A common type of alcohol used in hand sanitizers is ethanol. It is commonly used in the clinics and sold on a wide scale in the market. The producers of sanitizers basically trick you into consuming ethanol at a higher cost. Hand sanitizers however still are very useful. They crush over 99.9 percent of bacteria in a single hand wash. Using hand sanitizers is a great idea only if you you rinse your hands with water of using them. This is to get rid if the extra fluid which might be highly corrosive and damaging to your skin. In the United states of America over 60 percent of the population keeps a hand sanitizer in their car, at work, or even in their pockets. It is amazing how such things have suddenly taken over the country. The amazing thing is that people do not know a lot about these hand sanitizers. The hand sanitizers usually sold around have a portion on the containers where the concentration of the active ingredient is written. A number in percentage tells you the strength of the product. The greater this number is, the more efficient is is and the more harmful to your skin it may be. Sometimes people forget that these sanitizers are harmful or irritating to the eye. Hand that have been sanitized with hand sanitizers should never be used to touch the eye. The only exception to this is if you have washed or rinsed your hands with water. Other sanitizers however might look good but might have expired. 90% of hand sanitizers do not show the expiration dates of their products, this is however surprisingly neglected by the consumer. The effect of this neglect might go a tremendous way to produce cancer roots or inflammation of arteries. In some cases the product behaves like a raw acid. Please always remember to consider these facts. Hand sanitizers are friendly devils.
