You need to sell your house. You don't know the first thing about selling a house. You need a realtor. What is a realtor? A realtor is a type of real estate agent. They are members of the National Association of Realtors. That is a technical definition. But what do they do?
When you tell your realtor the kind of home you are looking for they go right to work. They tailor their search to your needs. They have access to other realtors and listings that may not be available to the public. These can include new listings and deals that have fell through.
When looking at properties, your realtor doesn't just look at what you want. They consider the things you may haven't even thought about. They look at the community, the schools, and even the taxes.
Realtors help determine what kind of loan is right for you. Because they have asked you some basic questions they know what you are looking for. They also know what kind of funds you have available. This helps them match you with the right lender.
When you buy or sell a home an inspection is required. They can help you pick the inspector that is right for you. They work with these people repeatedly and know if the inspector is reputable.
When you sell your home, a realtor looks at what the houses around you have sold for, and what your house has to offer. It is their job to work with you to determine a price you want to sell the house for. They also will tell you what they think the house will actually bring in.
No matter whether you are buying or selling your home, there will be a lot paperwork involved. Only a trained realtor knows how to put a contract together that works for both the buyer or seller. This paperwork is important because it can determine whether the sale or purchase of a home is completed and whether the buyer or seller is fully protected from future legal issues.
A realtor plays a huge part in the process of either buying or selling a home. Their experience and knowledge are a valuable tool.
