on six different stages (five with theater style seating, plus the jousting arena) each year. You receive a program upon arrival, containing the season's daily performance schedule. It lists act names, times, and locations, and you can also learn about the performers' backgrounds. Many of these shows include audience participation, either "en masse" or you may get called up to the stage for a few moments of fame.
Edibles: Fair Fare and Draft Drinks
There are five taverns in Revel Grove, each serving a variety of drinks and hosting sing-alongs at the day's end. However, if you're not into the tavern scene, you still have gobs of storefronts from which to purchase your meals and beverages. You can choose from turkey legs, Belgian waffles, Italian ice, meat pies, cookies and milk, potato fritters, fried ice cream, and of course, plenty of beer, lemonade, wine, and softer drinks "to soothe thy heated brow." Take your pick.
Merchants: Crafty Little Devils
Alongside the food are the artistic and utilitarian wares, created and sold by private businesses. Are you in need of a little something to go along with your costume, or just to show that you're in the Renaissance spirit? Try one of the clothing, leather, or mask shops. Do you like to watch artists in the act of creation? Check out the face painting or glassblowing demonstrations. Are you the hands-on type? Visit the House of Musical Traditions, where you can shake, drum, and blow unique instruments.
You'll also find one of my favorites, the illustrations of Dragon Studios (www.dragon-stuff.com) in both color and B&W, depicting dragons in various recreational and occupational situations. Keep walking and you'll run into tons of other artistic handiwork in the form of jewelry, wood, pottery, sand, wax, and pewter. There's something for almost every artistic taste.

But wait, there's more! Revel Grove is home to quite a few participatory events. The Gamery boasts distinctive board games that test your strategic planning and spatial thinking. The archery range and the axe throw are for those who enjoy tossing or shooting dangerous objects. Ooh, be careful. The dunking booth (a.k.a. Drench-a-Wench or Dunk-a-Monk) is usually popular with little kids as well as adults. Hit the red button with the ball and watch the young lady go "Sploosh"! More adventurous souls might like the wall climb, rope ladder, or juggling school to test your balance.
