SING
How can you be so weak
Why do you always follow
Once so strong and proud
And now so frail and hollow
Why can't you just stand up
Instead of sinking in this hole
You've surrendered all your strength
And you let it take your soul
Now just close your eyes and pray
And pretend a god will save you
You still try to justify
While your addiction slowly slays you
Illusions front as truth
As deceptions overtake
Your life becomes a lie
A joke
A fraud
A fake
When suddenly your love is gone
And hope has long been lost
You'll see your life, your pride, your trust
Is what your weakness cost
And still you grin your phony grin
While inside you rot and cry
But you know the bed you made is yours
And in it you must lie
Through all of this, I stood and watched
Then slowly pulled away
I left to mend my broken heart
So I could laugh again one day
And though I'm scarred
And scared to trust
And jaded from your choice
It's given me the strength to live
It's given me my voice

"Dad" An Addict's Life
Our poor dad, he looks so frail
It really is such a shame.
His mind is now gone,
He doesn't even know
Stupid high
where did you go?
you used to be spectacular.
what happened to the parties and all of the glamour?
my pockets full
by T. Matzke
This is my poem to you, little brother
The first poem; the last poem.
The poem that says I don't want to cry for you.
You, with
There's No Turning Back
There was no turning back, I closed my eyes and let it take me
The memories of when I was me faded
Now you'll want, but you won't need.
Now the fight begins.
The dark inside wants to reclaim you.
Now we'll see who wins.
