There are several great crafts you can create with kids during a rainy day. For starters you can never go wrong with construction paper, glue and children's safety scissors. First things first. Cut out many shapes for your children to work with. Use a lot of different colors if you would like. Once you have done your part, let your children take over with the glue. If they want to cut extra shapes of their own out, let them be creative while watching over them. Now that all the cutting is finished, give each child a large piece of paper. Allow your children to make a photo of their favorite animal out of all the shapes of paper you cut for them. This turns out really neat and you would be surprised by what your children come up with. They can use the same idea to make their favorite flowers, cars or even piece together lots of shapes to look like them. Have fun and don't forget to allow your children to use their own imaginations.
Another great craft idea would be a paper plate project. Get your crayons, construction paper, scissors and glue out! Have your child cut out shapes for a funny face out of the construction paper. Make big ears, a fat nose, rounded eyes and some lushes lips. Don't be afraid to use color. It's funny when things don't match. Maybe you can cut out some wavy hair for their funny faces or even a silly pair of earrings, a bow tie and a goofy hat. Once they have finished, they can color in the eyes if they used white or even put makeup on the face if it's a girl funny face. Again, have fun and use your imagination.
