of games because the PC allows the user to create so much more in the way of modding than a console does, but in the end modding a console I think is the best idea for these top two reasons:

1. Allows the user more freedom to expand the games on the console.

2. With the Xbox the mod allows cheats to be used in games. (There are no cheat codes for the Xbox 360 games because of the achievement system.)

Some might say that modding the Xbox 360 is not a good idea because it serves a massive cheating issue due to the fact that there are no cheat codes for any Xbox 360 games (That I have seen!), so if you had a mod chip on your Xbox 360 and someone created a way to cheat on the games then you would have a bunch of people with the highest gamer scores possible without even playing most of the games, because all you would need is the demo of the game and you would be able to unlock all of the achievements with a saved game or singled hard-coded cheat code and that would really defeat the purpose of the online community that Microsoft is trying to create with the Xbox and Xbox 360 consoles.

If you are going to use a mod chip please use it responsibility and do not use it to create illegal copies of games or to cheat on a system that thrives off of real gamers doing their best and not faking their way to the top like with what happens with so many PC games.
