Predictions: Who will be the 2007 National League MVP?

There is really only one choice for ha NL player of the year and that player is Matt Holliday of the Colorado Rockies. Last night Matt helped his Rockies win the one game playoff against the San Diego Padres to send his team into the playoffs. Matt is ranked at the top or near the top of the league in all of the most important offensive categories.

Matt Hollday has been the driving force for his Rockies this year who seemed out of the playoff race as little as a month ago. The Colorado Rockies went on to win 14 of their last 15 games to get to the one game playoff against the sinking Padres. Matt Holliday tore up the league in those final regular season games. Holiday is the shoe in to win this award and to win many more MVP awards in his future.

David Wright of the Mets and Prince Fielder of the Brew Crew will be close contenders but Holldays value to his club far surpassed the other pl;ayers importance to their clubs this year. Holiday lead the league or was close behind in nearly all of the main offensive categories this season and although he plays in hitter friendly Coors Field his super year cant be denied. It feels good to be a Colorado Rockies fan and I see nothing but the brightest of futures ahead. Holliday likes playing in Colorado and meant more to his team than any other player meant to their team in the NL.
