There are many who have used scare tactics to ward off use of drugs. With marijuana it was said that it would lead to other drugs-heroin. The list really does go on and on. Yes, drug abuse can be deadly. but drug use does not mutate the individual into a needle or pipe wielding maniac, so helplessly addicted to drugs he'd sell his mother for a fix.

I'll tell you a secret if you promise not to tell anyone. I have been a DRUG USER for thirty-five years. It's that I am proud of the fact that I use drugs. There is a stigma associated with drug use that I have no desire to be a part of. I am not going to sell anyone or thing to get my next fix. Drugs offer a state of euphoria that is hard to beat. What is wrong with enjoying the effect they offer?

There is not one drug that I use on a regular basis, excluding alcohol-wine. I love wine. It's like a nectar made for the Gods. Not that I equate my being with that of the Gods, but I sure like those things that are supposedly for the exclusive use of "the Gods."

Alcohol, there really is the drug that should be illegal. I can take a hit off a meth pipe and I'll go to work like a busy little bee; but give me a couple glasses of wine-man I am out for the count.
