Teen fashion: How to get Mischa Barton's style for less

Mischa Barton has been through many changes of style during her time in the popular TV series, the O.C. Wouldn't we all like to look that good?

Long, flowing hair, slim features, and such big eyes that men seem to fall over backwards for. Her look is that of the cool chick who is in control of her life, and that knows which way her style suits her best. It's a trademark look that has set her career in stead and it isn't surprising that young girls would want to copy the style, though of course, on limited budgets, since most teens don't have the money for designer labels.

HAIR

Sultry and sexy, Mischa has changed hair color several times, though the dusky blond seems to be the most popular color and many young girls have this color naturally. If not, there is help available in a bottle, though taking the time to read instructions, or get supervised by mom, the teen can achieve great color, and the semi permanent type does much less damage than permanent colors.

MAKE-UP

The make-up factor of the look can be easily achieved. Keeping the skin clear of blemishes isn't always easy for a teen, but here, cleanliness is essential. Removal of daily make-up and moisturizing of the skin overnight will keep that skin clear as a bell, and light foundation and natural colors for eye shadow, the look of the make-up is pretty easy to establish using store bought cosmetics, lining the bottom of the eye a little with a brown pencil to give that sultry look. Lipsticks should be those natural colors, since Mischa tends to keep the tone of make-up to a minimum and doesn't go for that glossy look that other stars do.

CLOTHING

Here, Mischa has a great figure, and a figure that many teens already have without the need to go to the extremes of the size zero phenomenon. Nice shoulders mean that a girl of this build can wear those halter tops in dark colors, adding to the sultry image, topped off with nice beads that are not overstated.

For jeans, going for the type that hug the figure is the way to go, and even these are available without costing the earth. Also made popular by Mischa are leggings which really do look chic without having to cost a lot of money and do suit those teens that have a young figure to dress. Heels to go with them don't have to be as expensive as hers though are part and parcel of that special look. Skirts take on the mini look, and why not ?
