layers of skin that are in excess and then topping the outfit off with fitted leggings is lazy. It feels easy to wear because of the size of top and the elastication of the waistline and legs but looking back in horror at photos of this stage of my life, I realize that what I was creating was a classic lollipop look, big on the top and small skinny legs. The same mistake is often made with skin tight jeans and those that are plumper would do well to wear more fitted tops that flatter, and blend them with pants or jeans that are more generous in material, balancing the whole look.
SEVEN EIGHT NINE TEN
These four sins come under the same heading since they are all inter-related. These involve:
*Jewelry
*Make-up
*Dress choice
*Shoes
These are all elements that make up a look. What people tend to forget is that excess of any of these elements looks cheap. Too much jewelry looks tatty. A single brooch or a pendant, or a discreet necklace look classy and if these are chosen to go with the outfit to enhance it rather than cover it with glitter, they really do look nice.
Similarly with make-up everything in excess gives the impression that the user didn't know where to stop. Too much make-up doesn't enhance anything. It looks like you have something to hide or no taste when it comes to application. Make-up should enhance what God gave you rather than hiding it and the excess of it shows lack of taste.
Clothing that shows excess is also distasteful. Skirts too short, or too long. Clothing that has too many frills, too much skirt, too much of anything is not tasteful at all and excess again has the same effect.
Shoes finish off an outfit, and the choice should compliment the outfit rather than be the major factor that draws the eye from who you really are. Those classy shoes that are detailed can look good though the wrong choice of shoes looks silly.
My last item in this list was excess of anything. We are beautiful creatures and perhaps should remember that the role models we copy need the make-up and the outrageous outfits and jewels to gain publicity, whereas in our own individual way it isn't excess that gains respect. It is the wonderful aspect of modesty and restraint that will really show the beauty of who and what you are. The shine in the eye is still there, whether painted or not. The cheeks that blush naturally always look more refreshing than those that blush permanently because of over-applied make-up.
These are the sins that take away the beauty that radiates from every woman whose opportunity to shine should never depend upon excess of anything, except confidence that they look the best they can without pretense and without added spectacle.
