In the humble opinion of this writer, American, Kansan, and Patriat, how much money you can raise for your campaign actually demonstrates how well you can manipulate the political system, how much money you can legally steal from the American people and how many businesses and corporations you have made promises to.
Unfortunately this has little to do with your actual popularity, or skills.
All of the big contributors have at least two things in common. They don't want to be caught backing the losing candidate, and they have plenty of money to throw around in hopes of having plenty of influence in Washington after the next president is elected.
It is sad that at this point in the game we still have no Candidate that is offering anything new. We have no Candidate that has implied of suggested that they actually care about or our concerned with the average working American. I guess that could be because we are not in a position to fund the War Chest.
It makes me sad the realize that no Candidate is striving to receive my vote, because that implies to me that my vote really isn't that important. That says little for our system of self Government, and less for the Candidates.
I would like to think that each vote is of equal importance, but at this point it's not about votes but about money.
