Poetry: Work

Morning Blues

Morning awakening, what to do.
Times are bad, the mind blank,
Depressing, compressing,
Things unchanged, the pocket empty.
Walking, thinking pondering,
If it remains, nothing moves.

Arising, refreshing, eager to go.
Thoughts are fresh, the body active,
Energizing, activating,
Things unchanged, the idea full.
Teaching, acting evaluating,
If nothing moves, decay remains.
