No more sports, no more parties, no more smoking! Yeah I hated being pregnant, although I so much wanted to be pregnant. Obviously, if you have a desire to be a mama, you have to become pregnant.
It was just so hard to be pregnant though. Everything changed for nine months, everything. It is a rude awaking when you become big and bulky, when your not used to being that way. My body just one day, Exploded! I couldn't breath, I was swollen all over, I was grouchy and life just wasn't fun anymore. I was used to playing sports, being active in the yard work, and having fun on the weekend with our friends. But all that changed.
My oldest son weighed 9Lbs. 2oz. Labor and delivery was a total of 13 hours, it was the scarest moments of my life. He was lodged under my pelvic bone, and was ultimately pulled out of me by forceps, because the cord was wrapped around his neck. Basically his heart beat was dropping so fast that there was no time to prep for a C-section. It was a very scary and painful birth.
None the less, we all know that there is always some pain and suffering that goes along with happiness! Nine long, hard months being pregnant and the painful delivery was so worth it. It's just what we have to endure, to become mama's. We buck up, forge ahead and in the end we get the most precious gift of all..our children.
