I'll be the first to admit that I'm no expert on his and hers fragrances, but I still have something to say on the matter.

My first encounter with these fragrances was when I was browsing through a magazine, and I came along one of those adverts, where you can open the little side flaps and smell the perfume. I have to say, I love those things, so I couldn't resist smelling it. I was a little surprised when the waft of a male's fragrance drifted up my nose, but also pleasantly uplifted.

How many things are there in this day and age for males and females to share? It's not cool to dress the same, you can't ride tandems...the list could go on. It can just be a way to show your affection for one another.

Anyway, I'm kind of straying from the point. Basically, I think the whole shared fragrance thing is a good idea. My favourite is CKIN2U. I could happily wear either the women's fragrance, or the men's. I can appreciate that this isn't everyone's view, but that's how I look at it.

For those who aren't so keen, think of it as an excuse to persuade your man into buying you a nice new perfume. You get one, he gets one too. Or, it even works the other way round. You buy him a fragrance for his birthday and, oh look, you've got one too.

I can see how paired fragrances might grate on people's nerves, but come on, you've got to give them a chance.
