Hypochondria is actually something i personally know first hand what it's like living with it because i myself have it. When i was younger i use to freak out about everything and anything dealing with my body's different aches and pains. Even though they do say hypochondriacs are often going to the hospital because they always think they have a disease or whatever else for me it's not that case. I actually also have a fear of doctors and hospitals. Another thing they say hypochondriacs do is they tend to read into everything like for instance i know i will sometimes see a commercial for cervical cancer or something and I'll freak and I'll get on-line and just start doing all kinds of research on it to a point where i know all the symptoms and I'll make myself believe that i have all those symptoms even though i don't. Which also tends to lead to panic attacks in my case because i get myself so worked up. Back in April or May of 2006 i got a bladder infection i already had one like a couple months prior but it went away so i thought this one would go away too. I starting freaking out thinking that it was going to spread to my kidneys and that i was going to die my boyfriend actually had to keep me away from the computer so i wouldn't start looking up things. I ended up waking up one morning with flu-like symptoms i was so sick my boyfriend had me call my mom and tell her i needed to go to the doctor. It's really tough living with hypochondria and it can be tough for the ones around you as well it can be controlled though as long as you have support from those around you.
