Working for a large corporation definitely has many benefits. Health care, disability, 401k and multiple arrangements of benefits, are an advantage to working for a large company. Large corporations also provide education advancement for you and sometimes your family. According what company you work for, large corporations have the money and the means to provide you with a stable income while you set your goals.

I worked for a good many years in a large corporation. They hired good quality people and the atmosphere was like working with family. Team participation was a must and advancement was yours for the taking, if you just applied yourself.

Smaller businesses, even though they operate under the same ideals, have to worry about making a profit and budgets. Cost over runs, and staffing. Small businesses have been limited by big business. Small businesses are limited to their budget and staffing, but in rare circumstances can provide some of the benefits big businesses offer. Anytime businesses are restricted because of the influx of trade, benefits to it's employees will be limited too.

The only thing about big business is they have more to bring to the plate. They may have a hard time remembering your name, but as long as they are paying you big bucks with good benefits if you work well and do your job.

If I had anything bad to say about working for a large cooperation, it would have to be their co-pay insurance, it is hard to understand and at times difficult to deal with the administrators. Still big businesses have the edge on small business because they can get a better insurance rate because of the number of employee's.

Big business has more to offer in job titles and positions availability. Making any future resumes given to other employers a must have in your portfolio. Training and education can be a determining factor when choosing which is better. Every one wants to have the chance at a better paying job and large corporations can give you this, even after being hired.

There will always be a need for small businesses. There are some good companies out there that have taken great strides to lure a good work force through their doors. They offer a public service that big businesses can not in some areas. Small businesses can benefit greatly off of the big business conglomerate.
