The lazy girl's guide to getting fit

Don't believe in the old saying: There's no gain without pain. Lazy girls can get fit. Our body's can thrive on a little of the right type of exercise, a healthy dollop of recreation and plenty of rest.

Apply the following suggestions to your life and before you know it, you'll be fit, healthy and raring to go!

1. Make sure you get plenty of sleep.

Sleep is the time for cell renewal and the resulting physical and mental reinvigoration. Inadequate sleep imbalances our hormonal systems and slows down our metabolization.

2. Walk, don't run.

Walk with a friend three to four times a week for twenty minutes. That's all it takes to keep your muscles tones and your body revved.

3. Stretch like a cat.

Stretching increases cardiovascular efficiency and improves muscle and joint flexibility. What's more, it increases energy levels immediately.

4. Get onto a Vibrating Plate.

There is no easier way to get fit than this! Not only does it tone and build muscle but it burns fat. Regular use can also fight bone loss and osteoporosis and ease joint pain.

7. Take singing lessons.

Singing is wonderful exercise for your cardiovascular system. You might even discover an innate talent you never knew existed and make a career of it!

6. Visualize yourself fit.

Get comfortable, close your eyes and visualize yourself running the marathon, swimming the mile, or doing gymnastics. Research has shown that just fifteen minutes a day, five times a week actually increases the strength of your muscles. The power of the mind is amazing!
