It can be so annoying when you check your email and end up being bombarded with a ton of junk mail. Many times the spam mail out numbers the amount of actual personal mail you've received. Many times they're advertising some product to help make an appendage that I don't have bigger or some other product I have no use for.

Thankfully now most email providers offer you help in blocking and sorting through the wave of advertisements and offers that come flooding into your inbox. If you have a hotmail, yahoo, or gmail account you have the option to make things as spam or bulk mail so that instead of going into you inbox they are put into their own folder. This way you can make sure that nothing that you actually want has been accidentally filed as spam. You then have more control over what mail you receive. Check with your email provider to see what options they offer you and how to use them.

Also you may want to create an account just for signing up for newsletters and on line contests. A majority of spam comes from signing up for things on line. That way your personal address will be virtually spam free. You can check that account less often and deal with the frustrating messages when you actually have the time to do so. Or you can just delete them all and not deal with them at all.
