Does the Internet encourage cheating

The Internet definitely encourages cheating! Temptation, temptation and more temptation. It is far too easy for people in the present day to cheat on their partners without them finding out. The ample ways they can cheat is ludicrous. The days of going out to pubs to pick up are gone. Now all you need is a screen, keyboard and a mouse and you are laughing. Hey you don't even need to dress up to impress, you can sit there in you baggiest clothes and pick up. Unfortunately there is a huge downfall for the victims in the relationship who are being betrayed. Their hearts are being ripped out and stomped on repeatedly, their self esteem is being crushed.

The biggest temptation is the abundant dating sites. People can create an imaginary profile about themselves. For example: Are you single? Yes (Lie). What is your age? 25 (huh, try 40). Hair color? Blond (lie - grey). Who really knows who they are talking to on the dating sites. How easy is it to pretend you are someone you are not. There is a wide variety of people to choose from, all shapes, sizes and cultures. For some men and women it is like they have just won gold lotto. Take your pick. All you need is to be able to type and impress the other person with your lies.

Unfortunately the sad fact is that relationships are being destroyed. It brings tears to my eyes even thinking about it. I personally have felt this pain, being in a relationship. I have busted my partner three times on different dating sites. Meanwhile I am carrying his baby. Each time he has lied about his profile and relationship status. It is far too easy for him to cheat. It is also easy for him to cover up his infidelity with passwords. What is even more sickening is that they can cheat while you are in the house, you would never even know. How easy is it for them to quickly click onto another screen. Some poor people may never find out about such a betrayal. Now there is simply no trust left and a very insecure girlfriend with no self esteem feeling humiliated.

In summary, the Internet is a hazard, a bomb waiting to go off! I much prefer the days when technology was not so great and there was no access to the internet. Far too much temptation! It is like playing with fire!
