There are many things that should be taken into consideration when purchasing a house warming gift for someone. The person(s) age, sex, personal status, their needs and the color scheme of their place are all important factors that can help you pick out the perfect gift for that person.
Whenever possible you should try to speak to the person(s) and find out what types of products they would need as well as what they would like to receive. You may be asking yourself why things like that are important and I'll tell you, there is nothing sadder than an unused gift that sits in someones closet simply because they can't throw it away.
If you have found out what colors the person(s)is using in the house you will be able to buy bathroom or kitchen towels which always seem to come in handy no matter how many you own. You can also take the color scheme into consideration so that you can pick out little accessories that match the decor, although some people prefer to purchase those things themselves.

Things like slow cookers for example aren't usually given at house warming parties.
Now if you are unable to find out those details, there is no need to panic. I have created a list of a few very useful item that are inexpensive and very easy to find. They should give you an idea of what you think will suit the person that you are trying to buy a gift for.
