How to choose exotic plants for your home

When planning on the purchase of an exotic plant a person normally has an idea of what they want. I will not talk of individual plants as all our tastes are different and we will choose the plant we like the best.

Just remember that a plant is a living thing. And as all living things needs to be nurtured, provided for and cared for. The first place to start is to research the requirements for the plant(s) you intend on choosing for your home. There are several books as well as on line resources where you can find things such as water, sunlight, and food requirements.

Plants must also be positioned in your home to provide beauty> Make sure you know how large or small your plant is and will be. Does it need to be placed outside? If so do you have the ability to do this?

Plants are like children. The can grow on their own if you provide them the basics that they need for survival. Many exotic plants require a constant, or close to it, temperature. Will you be home? If you are away a lot then an exotic plant may not be for you since it has to be cared for so meticulously.

The most important thing to remember is to find all the information you can about your plant and make sure you are able to provide for it and if so enjoy. If not you may want to choose a more hearty plant to spruce up your living quarters.
