Along with the ski resort lessons, Banff also has the Caribou Ski and Snowboard School. This ski school is affiliated with Banff Caribou Lodge, Banff Ptarmigan Inn, The Driftwood Inn, The Arrow Motel, Hidden Ridge Resort and Rundle Manor and its services are available to clientele of these lodgings. The Caribou Ski and Snowboard School offers half day and full day private or semi-private lessons for one day, three days or five days. This option is slightly more costly but has the added benefit of one on one training or small group training, ideal for families. The price of the lessons includes transportation to and from the hill and lift line priority once on the slopes.

It is clear that Banff, Alberta has an abundance of options for the beginner skier to hone his or her skills on the slopes. Banff three main hills, Ski Norquay, Lake Louise and Sunshine Village all have an abundance of runs which assist the beginner skier in advancing towards more difficult runs during their next visit to the beautiful Banff area.
