What are some awesome things to do with those stupid AOL CDs?

Me and my friends ahd the daunting (but fun) task in Sixth Form of redecorating the common room. We wanted to create different sections; the noticeboard, the seating area, the kitchen area and the music area. So my friend came up with the idea of using unwanted CDs and sticking them to the wall around the stereo to define the area. I loved this idea! Now whever I get one of those AOL CDs, or indeed any unwanted CDs (my computer used to crash in the middle of making a music disc rendering the CD useless), I turn it over, get some blue tac and stick it to my bedroom wall. It looks quite effective because of the different colours. Would be a really great way to makeover your child's bedroom! After doing this I found another use for them: I have some old necklaces I don't wear but want to keep. I simply thread the chain through the middle of the CD, then the pendant througgh the chain. Stick the cd to the wall again. And there you have your necklace hanging for everyone to see. You could improvise here and do similar things with seasonal decorations! Thread Xmas decorations through, or those wooden Easter eggs with ribbon, or if you want to be really inventive: Place the CD high on the wall and thread through a long piece of string or nice ribbon down to the ground. Buy miniture laundry pegs (from a craft shop) and then get your favourite photos and attach them all the way down to the floor!
