Rather than assessing whether to diet or not to diet, perhaps people should eat whatever they want whenever they want unless they have health concerns preventing them from doing so. However, watch out... because here comes the catch. The catch is Mother Nature didn't supply the human race with refrigerators, freezers, pantries, or kitchen cabinets full of food and high calorie drinks enabling us to indulge ourselves at our every whim. What she did supply us with is plenty of fruit, vegetables, and game, and the ability to hunt.
Mother Nature must have known exactly what she was doing too because most humans don't long to become vegetarians, hunting requires exercise, and exercise burns calories. His desire to cook, my lack of desire to do the same; especially while bogged down with child rearing, allowed him to have at it - preparing meal on top of meal of the likes that I would have never prepared and eaten prior to marrying him. What was worse was on days I did cook; I frequently cooked a la his
