With Summer quickly coming to a close, there will be countless labor day celebrations and just plain old "everyone get together" cookouts. One of my favorite foods to prepare for these casual get togethers is pulled pok barbeque. This recipe has been in my family for years and I would like to share it with you.
start by smoking a four to five pound boneless pork butt roast for about six hours or until it falls apart. While this is cooking mix two cups of ketcup, one choped onion, one teaspoon of garlic salt, and finally three heaping tablespoons of black pepper. Once the butt roast is done, remove from grill and pull apart, mixing the sauce inot the meat. Let this stand for ten minutes and serve with potato salad and baked beans. Your crowd will love it. In the South meals of barbeque and stews of all sorts are a tradition. This is not only a way to get a large family or a gathering of friends fed, but a way to stay connected to your family, friends and neighbors.

In today's busy hustle and bustle world people don't take the time to really know who there neighbors are or sometimes not even know what their children did at school that day. I believe that family gatherings, or neighbors getting together just for a simple meal keeps people connected in a way that technology cannot.
