the war in Iraq has been a big issue since it started roughly 5 yrs. ago the point is as one of the most powerful nations in the world we have a responsibility to protect those worse off then us. I am currently a junior in high school and already i have people around me debating the war in Iraq... the point is we are like a parent to these other countries and when one of our "children" is being pushed around or has a bad influence it is our job to correct them and show them the way, because if one country is allowed to be ruled wrong it will eventually affect every country in the world. for the people who say we should pull out and count it as a loss and write it off i say to you think about it if we pull out we will show every terrorist that there threats will be allowed in turn we are kinda saying terrorism is okay because if you know about it and do nothing to stop it you are guilty by knowledge. i am saddened to think that we have not only turned our backs on our countries basic principles but on our soldiers and the families of the soldiers that have died for us. i would also like to say that as a family member of a killed soldier our response should be nothing short of staying in there sticking it out and stopping terrorism before it has a chance to get started and possibly blow up into another Hitler type situation.
