DEBATE: SUPERMAN STRENGTH OR BATMAN BRAINS: WHO WOULD WIN IN A FIGHT?
Although I am an avid devotee of both Superman and Batman, amongst other superheroes, I must choose Superman, if judging on grounds of who has more strength, power and agility. Now if I were to judge on grounds of who is the craftier, sharper and more practical of the two, this would be a totally different article. I would be on Batman's side.
Here are my reasons for ultimately choosing Superman:
FREAKISH STRENGTH: With the ability to lift heavy objects like steel beams, how can a better than average human being like Batman compare when it comes to who's stronger? Not to mention, Superman's strength was gradually increased to the point where he could move entire planets. He was even able to compress coal into diamond by squeezing it with his bare hands. Now, how in the world could Batman measure up to that?
FLIGHT: Superman gained the power of true flight. Batman would have to use his gear to assist him with near-flight actions.
LEAPING APTITUDE: Superman was able to leap an 8th of a mile and hurdle a 20-story building. Batman needed his tools to leap anywhere and couldn't jump over more than one or two buildings at a time, even with his exceptional superhero paraphernalia and amazing nimbleness.
UNPARALLELED SPEED: Hello! Superman could run faster than an express train. Batman, about 20mph if lucky! Not to mention, Superman's speed increased to the point where he could travel faster than light. Many stories depict him navigating vast distances through outer space. He could also use this power to travel through time, as shown in his visits to the 30th century as a member of the "Legion of Superheroes". Could Batman travel through time or at the speed of light? NO! He is a mere mortal.
MENTAL POWERS: Superman possessed mastermind-rank intelligence and a photographic memory. These enhanced mental competencies would quickly exploit Batman's prodigious intelligence. Superman also had the mental ability to screen out massive amounts of information established by his superior senses. Thus, Batman would have to do some long, comprehensive, calculative planning prior to the fight, in order to conquer Superman's capacity, despite Batman's tenacious brilliance.
SELF-HEALING ABILITY: Superman could restore physical damage to his body at an accelerated rate, therefore, negating any efforts made by Batman to injure Superman's body during a fight.
RESILIENCE: Superman's skin
