Should the government pay for basic health care

SHOULD GOVERNMENT PAY FOR ALL MEDICAL CARE?
If the government pays for all our medical care I feel this may absolve some people from taking personal responsibility for their health. This will diminish personal responsibility for one's health and somebody may reason that regardless of the risks he takes or negligence to his personal health the government will still care. So I believe this may lead to some carelessness and recklessness on some individuals. By and large this may lead to loss of revenue by the government because they will be paying for people who are not contributing to the economic growth of the nation. Thus every individual benefiting from the government should ensure that they lead a sound productive life because this will be the only way one can give back to the government.

Whereas to some, this, will free them from any worries or health concerns and lead them to full dedication to their work, increasing their daily personal returns and overall, this will lead to national economic growth. I believe this will help some to take meaningful steps in taking care of their health (e.g. go for full Medical check-ups, go through a health program as may be prescribed, work on areas that may require attention without any fear of payment) and with a better health, this, will ensure that they work at optimal levels. So it may be a sound opportunity to develop and care for their personal health.

A healthy body is wealth and healthy people will bring into being a healthy nation. And when all the citizenry are healthythey will work hard to bring about national wealth. So investing in the peoples' health is investing in the nation's wealth.

I encourage the government to pay for the most basic overall health care but encourage certain bonus quotas for those who benefit positively from such a system. Benefiting positively means that the individual contributes positively to the national economic growth as he enjoys good health because ultimately I believe that there is nothing for free!
