Should cell phones be banned in restaurants? umm...not banned to have them just not to talk. Should the use of cell phones be banned in restruants? yes. i mean come one, the reason someone goes to a restaurant is to get out of their house and eat a good meal and talk with friend, who is there, and spend time with family, who are there, or go out on a date, with someone who is there. If you need to talk on the phone go outside, or go to the restroom. If its an emergency you don't need to yell into the phone while people are eating and enjoying themselves leave! You shouldn't disturb other peoples dining experiences with your cell phone! They came there to be in peace, or to ENJOY the meal not hear you swear or talk on your cell. Don't be rude like that. Sure Cell phones are there so anyone can reach you at anytime, but don't be rude to other people, have some manners. People should know not to talk on the phone in a restaurant, but they don't. So maybe is there is a big sign that says, "No Shirt, No shoes, No Cell" it will help them^_^ Because we all know people need to be reminded about what is rude and what isn't. Some people won't care about other people and may get kicked out, i say yay! a free table AND i don't need to listen to him talk to his mom about how he owes rent. I want to enjoy my time out of my house. Not have to hear someone on the phone while I'm eating a meal that i paid good money to eat.
