How to find someone who loves you and your pets

animal, if they can't be gentle with their own pet?

Are they careful of the other animals? Do they ask first before petting? Do they hold their hand up to Grover's nose before petting him? Or do they attack Grover, patting, almost hitting, to mimic caress?

The answers to these questions are very important. It tells you much about the person that enters into the decision making process of picking a romantic interest,

Once you have found your 'other' and start to develop a relationship your dog also becomes attached to the person and hopefully, vice-versa.

You r pet can be the best arbiter of the true measure of the person with whom you are falling in love.

Dogs become quickly attenuated to new names. Do they run to the door when you say "John's here!"?

They recognize voices just as easily as a person does.

When you ask "Who's' there?' when the bell rings and your dog hears your new Honey say from the other side of the door say "It's me" does she run around and shake with fear or pure excitement?

When you open the door watch the way Sophie reacts.

Every thing she does is a response to the way she feels about your newly beloved.

Does she hide under the table or bark and act frantic to get to his side - that tells you reams about the person's temperament and trustworthiness.

It also tells you what she cannot about the way your sweetheart treats her when you are not around.

It is great when your knight brings flowers or wine when he comes over but what, if anything has he ever bought for your pup?

No treats or toys for Rover usually indicates he does not give much, if any, thought to him.

A major way to determine the type of person we are with is the way he treats us when we are sick.

If we are in the hospital and really ill we want him to be there with us, to wait for the doctor, to hold our hand, to tell us we are loved..

If we have the everyday kind of ills, a cold or stomach flu , most of us want someone who will bring us soup or sponge down our feverish brow. To know that we are cared about.

The phone rings and it is our love.

"I can't go out tonight." you tell him. "Tootsie is sick."

"Oh that's too bad. I'll be there at 7:00 so we can make our reservation time at the restaurant." he says.

That does not bode well. It is a sign that maybe our honey does not have the understanding that animal suffering is no less than that of a human.

The phone rings and our sweetheart hears the tears in our voice.

"Oodles
