There once was a girl who lived on a farm,
she carried her dog in a basket on her arm.
Her dog bit an awful lady who lived down the way,
the lady came to destroy him but he got away.
The girl and the dog packed and ran away from home,
they met a man who from town to town would roam.
He looked into a ball and the wind started to blow,
he said he saw her Aunt and the girl said she had to go.
As she came up the drive there was a spinning funnel,
she ran into the house instead of the storm tunnel.
Debris came into the house and hit her on the head,
she stumbled and fell onto her soft bed.
The house was spinning and she looked out the window in her room,
she saw a lady on a bike who turned into a witch on a broom.
The black and white house fell down with a loud sound,
when she stepped out the door there was color all around.
She met the short people and a witch who was pretty,
and the green ugly witch visited the Munchkinland city.
She tried to get the red shoes from her sister's feet,
but the shoes were on the girl who was young and sweet.
"How do I get home?" the girl asked the pretty young witch,
"Follow the yellow brick road!" she said (it's a cinch).
On the way she met a scarecrow, a cowardly lion, and a tin man,
find the Wizard of Oz was the extraordinary group's plan.
When they found the Wizard they begged on their knees,
he refused them at first then he answered their pleas.
Find the Wicked Witch and bring her broom right to me,
then all of your wishes will be granted you'll see.
The monkeys of the wicked witch stoled the girl and her pup,
the friends were determined to find out what's up.
To the castle they went disguised as part of the guard,
after using the axe they were chased to the courtyard.
The witch grabbed a torch and lit the scarecrow on fire,
the scared girl tried to save him, the situation was dire.
She grabbed a bucket of water and the witch was pelted,
the witch got all wet and she screamed as she melted.
The crew took the broom back, but the wizard was a fake,
he granted the wishes and the girl he would take.
When the balloon left without the girl her friends said stay,
but the pretty young witch came and said there's a way.
"There's no place like home," click your heals three times fast,
she woke and saw Aunt Emm, she was at home at last.
Was it a dream or for real she was never quite sure,
If you want to smile the Wizard of Oz is the cure.
