The reason I think it is better to be a non-driver is, the way gas prices are it, is much cheaper, and we all know that it is better for the environment. How about when you are out partying and had to many drinks, it is better for you to take a taxi or walk. Some people don't like to walk anywhere, but it is good for you health wise.
Then you don't have to worry about renewing your tags or license. You don't need a license to walk any where. Then just think about it, you can actually feel the sun on your face, when it is shining. In the winter, sometimes you can't drive anyway, because the snow is too high or roads are to icy. I love nature so any chance that I have to just stop and smell the roses is greatly appreciated.

I have been a driver before, and the congestion of the streets and freeway are just unbearable. Sometimes you have to sit with your car idling for long periods of time, before you can resume driving. A lot of people are just in such a hurry, all the time. I believe that you should arrive alive, and be a responsible driver at all times. A lot of motorist don't care about that side of driving a vehicle. The air pollution can take all the help, it can get. Riding a bike is good for the environment, and also good exercise. You don't really have to drive, at all. Some people are so use to modern conveniences, that to walk or ride a bike, would mess with there pride a lot. What about when your driving on a dark road and a deer or animal runs in front of your car, that is a feeling I can do without.
I am not saying people are wrong for driving cars, it is just that people get cars for more reasons than transportation. I've seen people buy a car, just to impress someone else. Cars are cool, they just carry a lot of responsibility. You have to get oil changes regularly, if your brakes wear out, you have to get that taken care of, or changing a tire that blew out on you, while you were driving, now that is scary. Believe me mechanics have no sympathy for females drivers at all, they will try to take advantage of you, if they think you don't know anything about cars. These are my reasons for not carrying if I drive or not.
