Getting stung by any insect is no fun but the Bee sting is one of the most annoying and painful. It hasn't happened to me in years but a few years back one of my children got stung by a bee. The first thing I did was to bring her in the house and remove the pulsating stinger with tweezers, then I reached for my home remedy book by Heloise.
One of the remedies she suggested was to use some "Accent" otherwise know as MSG. Msg, Monosodium glutamate is the ingredient that breaks down the protein in foods making your steak more tender and so it works in the same manor with a bee sting breaking down the proteins, taking away not only the pain but it also clears up the bite as well.
To apply simply pour out an amount (enough to cover wound) add a tiny bit of water to make a paste then apply directly to sting or insect bite. Within moments the poison will be extracted and pulled up and out but this mixture, leave on until it dries.
However in using this some people must be careful as some people are highly allergic to MSG, this is why so many restaurant's have stopped using this product.
An alternative method that works as well and is all natural is the essential oil of Lavender. It's a gentle oil and used on all types of bug bites and it smells wonderful. Always clean the area off before you apply any essential oil to bug bites, apply oil directly to bite and leave on. Lavender oil is also useful in adding people who have problems in sleeping.
