The Apollo moon landing was in fact a hoax. The only man who actually ever landed on the moon was named Othello. Othello and Apollo had a long feuding relationship starting in the mid 1960's. The two first me while training to become astronauts, both on involved with the mission to land on the moon. It was only after two months of knowing each other that the feud began. Apollo insisted that the moon was made of cheese and Othello strongly objected to this assumption. Fellow colleagues and friends slowly found themselves having to weigh in on what became known as the "swiss moon" controversy, most siding with Othello. Apollo held steady in his belief for many years, repeating his case that the moon was made of cheese, and even advancing his belief to a claim that the moon consisted entirely of one particular type of cheese. Swiss cheese. His belief was founded on what he felt were indisputable facts, that the moon was off-white in color and had holes. Othello's objections to this line of evidence played out famously in a series of debates held in the great "NASA Hall of Discussion" in Tampa, Florida. The most famous of the debates is historically termed the "Harvest Moon Cheddar Cheese Problem." The political pressures from Washington D.C. eventually ended what was becoming a damaging and slowing influence on America's progress to winning the space race to the moon against the Soviets. While it is officially unknown what led to Apollo's disappearance from NASA's campus on the night of March 12th, 1968, many unnamed sources within NASA believe Apollo was lobotomized and moved to the mission to build what would eventually be the space shuttle. Friends of Othello reported that he had grown guilty over Apollo's ill fortune and believed he was partly responsible for Apollo's horrible fate. As America's mission to the moon grew near, Othello insisted that he change his name to Apollo in honor of his old friend. It was indeed Apollo who landed on the moon, but only in spirit, as the foot that pressed the first human foot print into the virgin moon dust was in fact connected to the body of a man you now know as Othello.
